Goosebumps for Adults

Sometimes the weekend slips by too quickly and drags along too slowly at the same time. Although I’ve accomplished a fair amount of the things I set out to do, I still have this feeling that I didn’t do enough. I sense a very busy week coming my way so hopefully I can savor these last few hours of Complete and Utter Boredom before I bury myself in to-do lists.

I think that’s how my week will play out but it’s all still pretty tentative apart from going to the gym. I haven’t been planning my weeks out in advance in a while and I don’t think I will in the near future, although it is helpful to see what I’m getting up to throughout the week.

Today I began writing my new story and I gotta say I’m already loving the characters. I read some of it to my husband and he seemed to like the direction I was heading so that must mean I’m off to a good start! I kind of can’t wait to keep writing but I also don’t want to over do it incase I end up hating everything but I guess I’ll just have to see what happens with it. I love writing goofy mysteries/thrillers and my husband actually deemed the genre of my NaNoWriMo novel “Goosebumps for adults” which is so spot on. This new story is similar in tone and I hope I’m able to fully develop some of the same themes and take them up another notch now that I’ve got a bit more experience. The characters are older than my last ones, too, so hopefully there’s a little bit maturity (although goofy characters are my faves so not too much maturity) and maybe even more at stake… Either way, I guess we’ll have to see how it all plays out!
