Candles and Priorities

There comes a time when every twenty-something must ask themselves the age old question: Should I play Sims today? Unfortunately for me, the answer to this question is currently a resounding NO. As much as I would have happily enjoyed spending the day in my pajamas hunched over my laptop whilst building houses for twelve hours, I decided last night that I needed to prioritize other things first.

Since this week is going to be quite the busy one I thought I ought to spend my time doing laundry and beginning the early stages of the tidying process. I probably could have squeezed in a bit of Sims in the afternoon but instead I chose to make some candles for the first time in a few months! In all honesty though the main driving force behind that decision was the fact that my stash of candles is running dangerously low at the moment and I didn’t want to spend any extra money to fill it back up. Luckily I’ve got a few scents that I have yet to use so I whipped up a batch of basil and herb candles.

Made it to the gym again this afternoon and now I’m feeling so exhausted. I finished off my antibiotics last night so now I feel like I’m Officially Well™ again, which means I got to workout at my usual intensity. For ten-ish days of “taking it easy” at the gym I think I successfully whooped my ass. I beat my time on the elliptical and I also did some sprints on the treadmill after doing abs and leg presses. It feels good to feel this tired so hopefully I get a really nice night of sleep!

Tomorrow’s my husband’s birthday so I’m really excited to spend the day with him. I’m still feeling unsure about how my journal entry is going to go because I really wish I could take my Nikon to London with us but I wouldn’t want to run into trouble when we go to the gig. I think I might bring my Olympus point and shoot just so I can document the day and share any photos I snap on Wednesday instead. We’ll see, I guess.

Anyway, I’m zonked. See you tomorrow!
