Happy Monday, everybody! Hopefully the start to a new week means lots of good things on the horizon for all of us. Speaking of good things, I was surprised to find out my mom got me a Nike giftcard as an early birthday present! She knows me so well, she must have known my running shoes have holes in them. I was absolutely thrilled to get the giftcard from her since I’ve been meaning to buy some new Nikes for a couple of months now, and I was able to buy a new pair of running shoes as well as a pair of all-black low-top Converse! I can’t wait to get them and I’m sure I’ll have my mom in mind with every step I take in my new shoes.

Since we’re on the subject of birthdays, we’re closing in on the last week that I will ever be twenty-four years old. I’m actually looking forward to being twenty-five, but I’ll do my best to relish these last few moments before my birthday. Next week seems like it’ll be pretty good, especially since after Thursday this week Mercury will no longer be messing with everything.

Today I managed to finish off another assignment for my course, so that means I’ve only got three left to go. I don’t know whether I’m purposefully dragging my feet with these last assignments or if I’m actually finding them a little tricky to complete. Either way, they’re going to be done by the end of the week so I’m not too stressed about it. If I can, I’ll try and finish the rest off tomorrow just so it’s out of the way and I can go back to playing The Sims 4 until my eyeballs pop out of my head!

In all seriousness, though, I’ve had a great Monday. The Nike giftcard from my mom was such a thoughtful present and honestly I can’t think of anything I’ll use more than a couple pairs of shoes. Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for today! See you tomorrow!
