Therapy and Reading

As the title may suggest, today I went to therapy! I also finished reading a book, but I’ll get into that later.

Therapy went really well and it’s reassuring to hear that I actually am making progress. We talked a lot about self-esteem and confidence, two of the main factors that play a huge role in my anxiety, plus the fact that I need to create opportunities to meet new people. My therapist is really proud of me for the work I’ve done in the last week in order to pull myself out of the rut I was in. It’s still a work in progress, but at least now I have an idea of some effective ways to help lift my mood.

At the start of the week I bought a book called I See You by Clare Mackintosh and I just finished it this evening! It’s basically Law & Order set in London and I was really gripped by the story. I only bought it at the grocery store for less than five pounds but I’ve found it to be a great way to spend my time the last few days.

Tomorrow I’m planning on going to the bookstore to look for my next victim — I mean, book. I really enjoyed how thrilling I See You was and I hope I can find more titles that are just as good (if not better).
