Despite getting home pretty late last night and going to bed after three in the morning, Alex and I still managed to get out of the house today! We’re actually staying over at his parents’ house tonight. His mom invited us to stay over to try and help the cats get used to being by themselves while we’re in Vegas next month, and we couldn’t say no. We drove over in the afternoon and have been hanging out with them since then.

For dinner we had homemade personal pizzas and coleslaw, as well as a selection of drinks to help wash it all down. Usually when we come over to visit one of us has to drive home afterward so it’s nice that we can both have a drink and not have to worry about getting home. The last time we stayed the night over here was before COVID so it’s been quite a while. I do miss hanging out with the cats, obviously, but it’s been so nice hanging out with Alex’s parents. Again, I’m going to keep this journal entry short so I can return to enjoying my evening! I did want to say that I’m having a lovely evening and we’re planning on watching the new pixar film Turning Red in a little bit. See you tomorrow!
