Happy New Beyoncé Music Day, everybody!! The queen has graced us with another jam, this one titled Formation. Now go get your groove on and come back when you’re done learning all of the dance moves.

Welcome back! Now, as much as I wish I could write something that totally would usurp Beyoncé’s newest single, y’all know the odds of that happening are worse than a goldfish learning to walk on land. Terrible analogies aside, let’s get on to business and have a little chit chat about my day, shall we?

When we popped into town today to pick up a few things, namely more cacao nibs, I also picked up a sketchpad to help encourage me to practice hand lettering in my free time. Even though I consider myself a creative person, I must admit that I have never been exceptionally talented in the field of drawing. With that being said I do have many fond memories sat at the kitchen table with a sketchpad and a pile of markers while my friends and I drew ’til we ran out of ink. And guess what? Coming home today and cracking open that sketchpad totally brought me back to those days! I sat at the table with my sketchpad and doodled for almost an hour and a half. Some of the stuff was totally rubbish but I spent a lot of time playing around with fonts and lettering techniques so I would say that it was successful. I still struggle with finding inspiration for designs but I’m sure that’ll be easier over time.

Besides that, today’s been pretty chill and relatively normal. I woke up with an irritated throat so I’ve been trying to drink enough warm drinks and water to make me feel better, although I don’t think it’s working as well as I had hoped it would. So that’s pretty much it! I’m going to go look for another film to watch on Netflix, but hopefully you’re having a good weekend so far. See you tomorrow!
