You know those videos with the title “HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT” and it’s always about a Book Deal™ or Product Launch © that doesn’t even cater to your interests, let alone your demographic? Yeah, I hate those sorts of videos, too. I do have something I want to share, but it’s more of a tiny announcement than anything else. Remember a little while ago I mentioned how much I was looking forward to March? Well, here’s why:

I’m taking a course on interior design!!

AAAAHHHHHHH— wait, am I the only person screaming?
Whoops…

Anyway, so back in January I had a look around the internet to see what sort of jobs were out there for interior designers and I was met with few options for entry-level positions. My unsuccessful job search lead me to seek out interior design courses, and that’s where I stumbled upon the National Design Academy! I was instantly won over by the cost of the interior design diploma course, but what really sealed the deal for me was that there was also an online course.

So, I sat on this information for a while. I wanted to wait it out and see if my feelings toward the interior design diploma course were more than just fleeting pipe dreams. I only told a few people, mostly to test the waters and gauge their reactions as to whether or not a career in interior design seemed like something others could see me doing. Honestly, I was so surprised when every person I shared this dream with responded with support and enthusiasm!

Had February been a little less intense with bills I would have enrolled in the course sooner, but now that I’ve been doing my photo journal for sixty-three days I feel like I’ve actually got a handle on things. I can add a little more to my plate, so to speak.

So, now that I’ve got this little bit of news out into the world I just feel so happy and also I’m super excited to begin the course! My start date is Monday, March 7th… Wish me luck!!
