Today I’ve made a lot of progress! Well not just today, but yesterday, too. Yesterday I submitted all of the assignments for the first module of my interior design course, so that’s a huge weight off my shoulders. I’m curious to see if everything passes or if I need to resubmit some of my work. As for today, I’ve been working out.
So I went to the gym and I decided over the weekend that I wanted to bump up my ab days to twice a week. I walked all the way through town and to the gym before realizing I had left my gym card at home so I had to trek all the way back and get it before I could even begin my workout. Needless to say, I was feeling a little bummed by the time I made it back to the gym but I’m glad I didn’t let that stop me from working out. Slowly I’ve been progressing with my cardio, which is a huge surprise because I used to hate running/jogging at all. After my workout I still had a lot of energy so I ended up sprinting for over two minutes to some Beyoncé and let me just say that it was such a good decision! I hate leaving the gym and feeling like I could have done more, so I’m glad I decided to use that extra energy because it was actually very liberating and a lot of fun. I don’t run or sprint very often because last summer I blew out both of my knees so I’m extremely cautious about putting them under too much stress, but since I’ve been building up my strength and endurance over the last three months I’ve actually been able to do a bit of jogging on the treadmill.
I feel so proud of myself for the progress I’ve made, especially today at the gym. It seems so cliché to admit it but I really am seeing results and I feel a whole lot happier as a result!
