Right before the pandemic kicked off in 2020, Alex and I went to the cinema to see the new live action Sonic The Hedgehog movie for Valentine’s Day. We tried to go see a film a few months ago but after repeated attempts to get the screen in focus, we ended up walking out and getting refunds and vouchers for the trouble. More recently you may recall when we went to see BTS’ PTD Seoul concert at the cinema, but neither of us really counted that as a proper “cinema” experience. Well, today we finally saw a movie at the cinema and wouldn’t you know it? We saw the second Sonic The Hedgehog movie!

Today has been nice and chill and I’m really glad we were able to go to the cinema together. When we got back from Vegas on Alex’s birthday we didn’t have the energy to do anything other than sleep so it kind of felt like we didn’t even get a chance to celebrate. It’s good to do something to celebrate, even if it doesn’t seem like much. Plus we had dinner at Five Guys beforehand and now I am incredibly full.
