Happy birthday to my super funny, super sweet, and super amazing husband!!! This morning we walked over to his parents house for a lovely brunch, complete with mimosas, burgers (although mine was a mushroom patty instead of beef, hah!) and banana bread.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve taken a drastically different approach towards my own birthday. Over the last few years I hadn’t had the best birthday experiences, but this past year I decided to make the day all about what I wanted to do. Since it’s my husband’s birthday today I’ve been gearing up to make the day as great as it can be. I think he’s having a good day so far — I surprised him at midnight with chocolate cupcakes, so you can’t really beat surprise cake.

Anyway, the weather has been brilliant so far. Nothing but cool breezes and sunshine, aka the perfect weather for a birthday spent outdoors. I think it’s supposed to rain a bit while we’re in London but that’s fine by me as long as we’ve got an umbrella!

Okay, that’s all I’ve got for today! We’ve gotta head out to catch our train soon but I’m sure tomorrow’s post will have plenty of bonus pictures from today. See you tomorrow!
