New Lights

Finally got replacement light bulbs for the lights in the bathroom so now I can actually see what I look like in the mirror. Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration but the new bulbs have already made such a difference. I guess I’d gotten used to the dim light over the last few months? Hopefully I’ll be quicker to replace them in the future.

Still feeling good today! I spent the morning reading my book on the sofa while waiting to a package from Amazon to arrive. I’ll probably finish the book in the next day or so, depending on if I feel like reading or not. I’ve got to set aside some time this weekend to work on my assignments, but apart from that I don’t think I’ve got much else planned.

Beatrice’s pain medication ran out last night so we’ve got to take her to the vet for a check up (turns out they require one every 6 months in order to dispense meds) and we’ll also need to schedule her vaccination booster soon. Having a geriatric cat is great apart from the vet bills. Last year we took Beatrice to the vet so many times because she wasn’t doing too great but now we’ve got her on pain meds that actually work and make her arthritis manageable. I’d love if we could get her a companion for her however I don’t think it would be a strong financial move for us to introduce a new cat to our household at this moment in time. It’s a shame because I can tell Beatrice wants to play with us but she always tries to do it in the middle of the night! We might be able to get another cat/kitten within the next year but who really knows. There always seems to be a random cost cropping up in our monthly budget.
