Preparing for a Consultation

All day I’ve been gathering my documents and preparing for my consultation with my sister-in-law tomorrow. I printed off a briefing questionnaire, I saved examples of design concepts to my iPad, and I’ve dug out my paint chip books. I even managed to pop out to the shops and pick up a new measuring tape, which might seem like a surprising think to buy for a consultation but the measuring tape we already had is broken. So, yes, I think I’m finished preparing for the most part.

I don’t feel nervous, but I am very excited. It will be interesting to see how it all goes down, and obviously it’ll be good to get the full scope of the project before we begin. My main goal is to get all of the information I need before the end of the consultation – measurements, design preferences, and, most importantly, a budget. Plus it’ll just be good to see my sister-in-law and catch up with her, too!

In other news, we had another big food shop today and I’m trying not to let it stress me out. This month feels a little tricky to navigate, financially speaking, mostly because we’re in need of so many new things. Both of us desperately need new winter coats, but my husband also really could use a whole new wardrobe since his current one is way too big for him. Aside from clothing, we’re also re-stocking a lot of pantry items and juggling a Halloween party budget at the same time. One thing I have to remember is that it will all even out by the end of the month and that I shouldn’t worry too much. But, if you know me at all you’ll know that I’m excellent at worrying about things, haha!

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for you today. I want to do a question and answer video this week, so send me your questions — about me, the moon, or even how peanut butter is made! I will answer them all. Make sure to check out VEDO #9 and I will see you tomorrow!
