Dolores is currently curled up in my lap, biting at her tail. She’s a curious little thing, this kitten of mine. Ever since we got her she’s taken a great interest in gnawing on tails, both her own and Beatrice’s. Of course, she’ll attack just about anything that even remotely looks like it might move, but you’d think she’d learn not to bite her own tail.
Today has been a productive Monday for me, although I have to admit that I do feel like I could have done more in certain areas. I’ve been procrastinating writing more of my novel for NaNoWriMo and it finally hit me that I’m probably procrastinating so much because I’m close to finishing. I love having daily hobbies and I always get a little antsy when I know a project is going to be over soon. This happened last month when I made a video every day during October, and I’m sure it’ll happen again when I come to the end of this photo journal.
One thing I need to remember when I am about to complete a project is that it just means I have the opportunity to start a new one. For instance, I’m already setting my sights on some semi-secret projects and I’m really enjoying them. I would say more but then they wouldn’t be semi-secret, now would they?
What I’m getting at is that I simply love creating things! I do fear that I’ll run out of new hobbies and that when I return to old ones I may not actually be any good at them. I know that’s not a very optimistic or realistic way to look at things, but I just thought I’d throw it out into the universe. One thing is for sure, though, and that’s the fact that I’m always looking for new ways to challenge myself.
Anyway, speaking of challenging myself, I really ought to challenge myself to go to bed at an earlier time! It’s getting late and I still feel like I have so much left to do. I’m going to end this journal entry here with some pictures from our roasted veggie dinner. See you tomorrow!
