I feel like I have this humongous list of DIYs I want to do around the house, ranging from easy, small things to bigger projects that will take more time to complete. Most of the time they’re just floating around in my brain and I only get to the ones that grab my attention or need to be done immediately. So in order to help my future self, let’s make a list!
- Patch & paint little spot on the yellow wall
- Patch & paint little spot on the pink wall
- Patch & paint living room ceiling
- Patch & paint bedroom ceiling
- Patch & paint wall above movie room door (inside)
- Patch & paint exterior walls
- Patch & paint holes in bathroom door, replace towel hooks
- Paint around linen closet door handle
- Paint the attic door
- Paint around the back kitchen door with mould seal
- Paint porch roof
- Paint house number
- Second coat paint on sliding barn door (bottom of stairs side)
- Second coat paint on bathroom ceiling
- Spray paint side table
- Edges and second coat of paint on window wall in the office
- Remove carpet on landing, patch subfloors (squeaky board), paint, install runner rug
- Remove random exterior wires
- Replace light fixture on the landing
- Replace living room radiator
- Reattach sensor light to wall
- Wire light for attic
- Install pull down ladder for attic
- Install C hooks to window sills (living room, office)
- Install shelf in office
- Staple gun/tack bead board to baseboards around the house (living room, entryway, office)
- Drill holes and hang paintings around house (living room, dining room, entryway, landing)
- Drill holes & hang gallery wall pictures on the yellow wall
Alright, that’s all I can think to put on the list at the moment. It doesn’t even include the bathroom renovation or any of the kitchen stuff I want to do, but it’s a start!! Now that I look at it, it’s a lot of painting, and I feel like a good amount is actually just little areas that I could do in a few minutes. Obviously some of the stuff like installing a ladder for the attic is going to take a bit longer to cross off the list, but I do feel better seeing it all written out.
