A Busy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We were expecting rain and wind today but, wouldn’t you know it, the sun was out when we woke up! Since the weather wasn’t terrible, we made the most of it by heading outside to cut the shelf boards for under the stairs. I wanted to be all slick and have the edges closest to the slant of the stairs match perfectly but it turns out that Alex and I aren’t very good at figuring out angles. Despite the less-than-perfect angles on a few of the shelves, we were able to get them in and they look amazing.

In order to give ourselves a little DIY break, we did a little perusing at the shops and picked up a few things for the chocolate fondue we’re having for dessert tonight. Driving around town during all of the afternoon school traffic was a great excuse for us to listen to my new BTS album! Love Yourself: Answer is my third CD from BTS and I’m so glad because we’ve been listening to Map of the Soul for at least six months straight. The radio in our car doesn’t work but we do have a CD player so that’s my preferred way to listen to tunes in the car.

Another thing my valentine got me was the sweetest little BT21 Baby plushy of Shooky! He looks very sweet and cute with his little hat and bedding. I’ve decided to leave him in his little house so that he can snooze in peace. I think it’s so funny that I’ve gotten back into plushies as a thirty-year-old. Definitely didn’t have that on my bingo card!

Anyway, I can smell what Alex is cooking in the kitchen so I’m going to wrap this up here. Au revoir!
