Fridays are usually one of the better days of the week for me and I’m pleased to say that this one has been pretty good, too. I had a meeting with my social media manager in the afternoon and it went really well even though I was initially feeling anxious about it. It was good to have some support and I honestly am so glad that I hired someone to help me with my business because it’s been a load off of my back!

We did some more work on the front garden during lunch and then after Alex finished work. I don’t even know how many bags of soil we have sitting outside right now but it’s definitely in the double digits. Although it feels like we’re not getting anywhere, half of the front garden is starting to look a bit more leveled-out than before. In an ideal world, we’ll be able to wake up early tomorrow, finish leveling both sides of the front garden, lay out the cardboard, and then cover everything with mulch by the end of the day. Realistically, I’m aiming for us at least being able to start covering one side of the garden and hopefully finishing up the other side by the end of the weekend.

When the bulk bag of mulch is delivered tomorrow I’m assuming they’ll probably drop it at the edge of the pavement, which is a good distance from our garden. I definitely don’t want to just leave the mulch out there because it is a shared space with our neighbours and I already feel bad enough that we’re making the place look bad with all of our black bags of soil! If we can at least cover half of the front garden then maybe the bulk bag will be light enough for us to move it closer to our property.

Anyway, the hard work for today is done and dusted! I’m looking forward to a tasty dinner and watching the new season of Stranger Things that’s just been released.
