I found a wild rose growing in the back garden today! A few months ago I noticed what I thought were rose leaves growing among the brambles I’m allowing to grow (I’m wondering if they’ll produce any berries!) and I promptly forgot about it. While I was making my rounds in the garden I noticed the brambles were beginning to flower and that’s when I saw a little rose! It’s the faintest pink colour and I haven’t smelled it yet but I’m so tickled that we’ve got a wild rose growing! At least, I think it’s a rose. Not really sure, but happy all the same.
Once I was done inspecting the garden I made my way over to the studio to get some work done. I’ve got a huge box of wax melts that I’m sending to my social media manager, and then I spent the rest of my time staging and filming videos for an upcoming reel. As someone who used to make YouTube videos you would think that making reels is no big deal but I feel really out of my depth these days. I don’t have any editing software and it seems like most people just edit their videos in-app so maybe that’s why it feels scary to me. Still, I think the most important thing with photography and videos is having good lighting and luckily I was able to make a really nicely lit scene today. I’m happy with how the shots came out and I’m crossing my fingers I’ll be able to recreate such a nice setting in the future!!
