Last Rehearsal!

This morning my dance team had our last rehearsal before our performance at Pride tomorrow!! It went really well and the more we run the routine the easier it is for me to catch my breath, so it feels like my endurance has gotten so much better in just the last week. At practice we ran the routine a few times and then we did it with the music sped up and slowed down so we could work on our timing with the music. It was actually a really fun way to practice the choreo and we all had a laugh. I feel really confident in my team’s abilities and I can’t wait for us to make our ~debut~ tomorrow.

After practice I came home and had a shower, fully intending on going out to the first day of Pride but by the time I got out of the shower I could tell I needed a nap and also needed some time with my bestie (Alex). So we cut our losses with Pride (non-refundable tickets, eh!) and fell asleep for 3-4 hours in the living room before we drove out to Burger King for a cute dinner date. We treated ourselves to the vegan whopper and the vegan chicken royale (my fave) as well as fries and onion rings. The vegan whopper was actually pretty decent! We’ve tried the McPlant from McDonald’s and the BK vegan whopper is the winner by far. The size of the burger is more filling, plus it has a slightly better taste than the McDonald’s burger. When we’ve had the McPlant we both noticed we were still hungry, but Alex mentioned that he actually felt quite full mid-way through the BK vegan whopper. The vegan chicken royale is my top veggie fast food sandwich pick for the UK, so I stuck to that. Oh and the onion rings were crispy and really hit the spot. Overall, dinner was a success.

Once we finished dinner we drove over to Sainsbury’s so I could look for a cruelty-free pink lipstick (for tomorrow) and luckily Barry M. came through for me. I got the very last pink lip liner they had as well as a colour changing lipstick.

I’m less nervous for tomorrow than I thought I would be. I gave myself a gel manicure and my outfit is freshly washed and ready to go. Alex is kindly working on tidying the stairs and the landing (aka the part of our house that is most covered with cat hair) and pretty soon we’ll head up to bed. I hope the performance goes smoothly tomorrow and I’m excited to show off all of my team’s hard work!! See ya tomorrow!
