New Light Placement!

Lately I’ve been noticing an uptick in my amount of bizarre dreams, specifically ones that involve a murder plot against me. It’s pretty stressful, I’ll admit, but I’m not totally convinced that I should be worried. I looked into the meaning behind some of the dreams I’ve been having and I think I’ve just got a lot of repressed stuff that I need to deal with. It seems as though my subconscious is trying to get my attention through these dreams but I’m still clueless as to what’s actually the deeper issue.

In other news, our light is officially in the correct place!! As you can see in the photo, it now rests nicely above the dining table and it actually makes the room feel so much more balanced and way bigger, too. It’s amazing how much a simple thing can make such a huge difference to the overall look and feel of a room. I don’t think I have even really noticed the terrible placement of the light until we began ticking a bunch of more immediate things off of our snagging list, but I’m glad I eventually did. Oh, and the toilet is finally fixed! It turned out to be a little bit of a tricky job, so I’m very grateful that we were able to rely on my husband’s dad to come and fix it up for us in the end.

So basically today has been pretty good. I submitted my assignments this afternoon and I’ve been toying around on Sims for the better part of the evening while the ceiling was getting chiseled out to make way for the new light placement. I’ve made a new Sim named Gloria Gladwell and I’ve been having a fun time playing as her without cheats! I even made her little flat and kept it all under budget. She’s a renaissance Sim so she’s a painter, gardener, programmer, gourmet chef, and a handyman. I’m excited to see what she gets up to over the next few days, although I’m not entirely sure what I want to do with her in the long run. Right now she’s very focused on her career but maybe soon she’ll start dating? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
