Festive Feelings and Holiday Cards

It’s officially December and I’m trying to get as much into the festive spirit as a person like me can (I’m kind of a scrooge haha) by listening to jovial music and making some headway with my holiday cards. Marrying into a large family has a lot of perks, don’t get me wrong, but my hand is seriously beginning to cramp up after writing messages in twenty-seven greeting cards. The bulk of them are going to family, although I did make sure to get enough for friends and neighbors, too. I really enjoy sending cards, so it’s one of the burdens that I actually quite prefer over the holiday season! It’s a nice way to let someone know you’re thinking of them, plus I get to work on my shoddy penmanship at the same time.

Another thing I’ve done to help me feel more festive is hang candy canes around the flat! I’m not sure if they’ll get eaten or if they’ll just hang around for a month and then get tucked away in a box until next year, but they sure do look nice dangling from the fairy lights. Speaking of lights, I kind of feel like getting some multi-colored lights to string up in the living area, but I can’t decide if it’ll be too cluttered? I guess I’ll sit on it for a bit before deciding.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow because my husband’s taken a half day off of work so we can go do some shopping for wintery clothes and then go see Moana!! We even booked our tickets early to make sure we can absolutely get a seat. I hope we find some good stuff when we go shopping, and with any luck there won’t be too many kids running around. I’m not a huge fan of large crowds, especially when I’m trying to decide between clothes.

Anyway, I’m going to wrap this up here and get ready for bed! See you tomorrow!
