Rise & Shine with BTS

Another day, another BTS concert! Only this time I woke up at seven in the morning to watch the concert at the cinema with other local ARMYs. I had written a couple days ago about how excited I was to see day three of BTS’ Seoul concerts but it turns out I had my days wrong because today was day two. Still, the concert was just as exceptional as I thought it would be and we had a great time groovin’ alongside fellow ARMYs.

The only downside of watching the concert streamed in the cinema versus streamed at home is that there were no translations or closed captioning provided. Throughout the three hour concert there are multiple breaks where BTS shares their thoughts with the audience, so it was disappointing to be sitting there in the theatre without a clue as to what they’re saying. Of course, ARMY twitter came in clutch with the translations after the fact, but it did feel like we were missing a big part of the magic.

One of the cool things about the cinema event was getting to see all of the different demographics that make up my local ARMY group! There were so many children and teens, and a few young adults in the mix. It was hard to tell if any other adults were there for their kids or if they were also ARMY, but I’m pretty sure everyone came away with a huge appreciation for BTS regardless.

After the concert ended I was so exhausted. I hadn’t been able to sleep very well last night because there were a couple of foxes fighting on our street and it really spooked me. As someone who loves animals I think I just have a really hard time hearing animal destress noises! Plus one of our neighbours had a kitten get lost this week so I was already on high alert for a baby kitten. I just want our local animals to live in harmony! Anyway, the lack of sleep plus an early wake up call really tuckered me out. We came home and after the adrenaline from the concert wore off I took a nice long nap on the sofa.

It’s been a really nice day, and I’m so glad I started it off with BTS. Now I’m just buzzing for the next time I can see them!
