Studio Saturday

Every time Alex is able to help me at the studio I feel like I get so much more stuff done. Like today for instance, while I calculated the amount of wax and oils I needed for my candles, Alex made his way through the pile of used candle moulds and mixing jugs I had been neglecting. I find that the studio can get a little out of control when I’m experimenting (and failing) at new things, so I’m especially grateful to have someone willing to do the dirty work for me!

The weather today has been so nice and warm, too. The drive over to the studio took twice as long as it usually does because traffic was backed up for no reason. Not to sound too much like “old man yells at cloud” but it really is so annoying when people forget the rules of the road and act like idiots. At least we got to jam out to BTS in the car during bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Speaking of BTS… In less than two weeks we’ll be in Vegas and we’ll be 5 rows away from the stage. HOLY COW!! There are some things still left to do before we go, like make the pickets/hand fans for the concert, finish off the little crowns I’ve designed for Alex and Liz (the birthday peeps), as well as round up all of our US plugs and lock in our outfits for the trip. Apparently it’s going to be very hot while we’re there (obviously, because it’s a desert) so I’m fully expecting that I won’t need a jacket or a coat at all. I think this week we’ll take care of a lot of the things on our list and we might even start packing just to make sure we’ve got all our bases covered. Ahh!

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day in the UK so we’re going over to the in-laws to celebrate and I am really looking forward to seeing the family. The clocks also go ahead an hour tonight so I’m wondering if we’ll all be running late tomorrow. The good thing about the time change is that we’ll get an extra hour of sunshine in the evening!
