Fruit on Display

Well, this morning I woke up to the news that Roe v. Wade is being overturned in America. It’s all my group chat is talking about, and rightly so. Even right now I’m watching Hasan Piker talk about the upcoming Supreme Court decision and it’s a lot, so I’m going to try to lighten the mood a bit.

I totally forgot to mention that yesterday was Dolores’ birthday! She turned six years old yesterday, and it’s safe to say that she’s enjoying her adult lifestyle of half-hour wet food feedings and premium lap cuddles at any hour of the day. I feel bad that we didn’t do anything to commemorate her birthday, but I think she’ll forgive me as long as I make room for her on my lap when I’m wrapped in a blanket.

Yesterday when we were in Brighton I stopped into Flying Tiger Copenhagen to see what new bits and bobs they had in stock. Flying Tiger is one of my favourite shops to browse because they’ve always got such interesting trinkets. One of the things I bought was a little strawberry-shaped vase to match the tangerine shaped trinket box I thrifted a little while ago.

I decided to reorganise one of the living room shelves so I can display my ceramic fruit finds, and in doing so I also took the opportunity to properly display my BTS albums and DVDs! I’m tentatively happy with the layout of the shelve, although the real test is whether or not Margot will jump up there and knock anything over. I’ve got my fingers crossed that the shelf doesn’t look too different and he won’t be super interested in it, but you never can tell with him!
