Shopping the Men’s Department

A couple of days ago I discovered something truly life changing: men’s shirts look and fit better than women’s shirts. I’ve heard other women talk about shopping in the men’s department over the last year, but I never actually took their advice. Turns out they were right all along!  In fact, men’s button down shirts are way more flattering for my curves than the sorts of flimsy fitted shirts littering the women’s department. That, and most of the clothing in the men’s section is made from better quality materials!

So today we went shopping and the bulk of my haul was found in the men’s section at Primark. I got a few raglan t’s for less than £5 each, as well as three short-sleeved button down shirts for £7-8 each! The only items I picked up from the women’s section were a blouse for £10 and a workout shirt for £5, but honestly I’m still super impressed with my finds. I also picked up a new pair of workout pants from T.K. Maxx (aka the UK’s version of T.J. Maxx) that I’m very eager to break in at the gym on Monday!

Today has been really great! It was nice to get out and do a bit of shopping, especially since we usually go ages without buying anything at all. Also I’m so happy we got sushi, despite the fact that we could barely hold our chopsticks because our fingers were frozen from the cold. We were going to catch a movie but we got the timing wrong and didn’t feel like sticking around for an extra two hours so we just decided to get the train home. Although, I think I’ll have to go back tomorrow to return an expensive foundation I bought that ended up being the wrong color for me because I am as pale as a ghost, hah. Wish me luck with that!
