It should come as no surprise to anyone who’s been keeping up with my 2016 photo journal over the last week or two that I’ve been struggling to find motivation to get anything done during the week. I have a deadline to meet on Wednesday so I thought it might be a good idea to list ten things I want to do this week in an attempt to get me going.
1. Go to the gym three times
Okay, this one is probably the easiest thing on the list but going to the gym is one of the things I most look forward to each week so it’ll be nice to be able to cross this one off.
2. Finally organize and clear out the media unit
Ever since we painted the living room we’ve had the old media unit shoved into the bedroom and taking up valuable space. I really do need to clear it out and figure out what we’re doing with it.
3. Hang at least one thing on the living room wall
Speaking of the living room, I’m sick of seeing all of our picture frames on the floor so it’s high time I put them back up on the walls!
4. Sit outside and enjoy the nice weather
We haven’t really used the patio furniture much in the last few weeks and I want to take advantage of the nice weather while we still have it, so even if that means chilling on the patio after my workout then I’m happy!
5. Try a new(ish) recipe
I love mashed potato bowls just as much as the next person, but sometimes they can be a little boring. I’d like to switch it up this week and try something different for a change.
6. Eat dinner at the dining room table
And speaking of dinner, it’s been such a long time since we’ve sat down to a meal at the table.
7. Wake up by 8am each morning
I know, I know. This one seems kind of easy to do but you’d be surprised at how reluctant I am to wake up before 9am when my dreams are so interesting!
8. Organize the bookshelf
One of the shelves in our wardrobe is packed with books that belong on our shelf in the living room so I’m giving myself permission to move them all back to their rightful home.
9. FaceTime my parents
Obviously it’s difficult to keep updated on family life when your family lives in a different country but I’ve got to make an effort!
10. Finish the rest of my assignments by Wednesday
Time to put on some jams and hunker down in front of my drawing board. The deadline to submit my assignments is Wednesday, so wish me luck!
