Interior Design Procrastination and Productivity

Today I used interior design to procrastinate writing my novel for NaNoWriMo, so at least my “new low” is still somewhat productive! Seriously though, I’m glad that I procrastinated writing because it was actually nice to work on a different project for a bit. I’ve got some great ideas for my sister-in-law’s living room and I’m excited to have a meeting with her later this week because I’ll finally get to discuss particulars with her. Before my meeting I’ve also got a consultation with my other sister-in-law to help her and her fiancé with their living room. Basically Thursday is going to be chock full of interior design meetings and I’m really looking forward to it.

I tried to go to the local hardware store to look for paint chips but I came away empty handed so I think the plan is to get a ride to Homebase in the next town over sometime tomorrow. My goal is to pick up as many paint chips as I can carry so that I have plenty of options to show my sister-in-law at our meeting on Thursday. I wonder if there’s a limit on the number one person can take… I guess we’ll find out!

Anyway, even though I procrastinated pretty much the whole day, I did manage to hit 25,000 words in my novel. It’s finally getting to the good part and my characters are about to get in the thick of the plot so I’m really looking forward to writing those scenes in the next few days. I’m really exhausted so I’m going to keep this journal entry relatively short. See you tomorrow!
