I’m not going to get ahead of myself and say that I’m in a much better mood now, although I do feel at least a little bit better than I did yesterday. We slept in as late as we could, which ended up being until 10am since the sun heats the bedroom up in the morning. It was nice and refreshing to throw the windows open all day, and luckily it wasn’t terribly hot. I went to the shops and picked up a few items for the house – insecticides, a watering can, mold-remover spray, and a large scrub brush for the shower – and then I came home and scrubbed the bathtub until it started to look new-ish again.
We also found out the water intake pipe for the reservoir tank of the toilet is leaking, which resulted in a failed attempt to fix it and now it’s just casually dripping water into a measuring cup we’ve wedged underneath it. Hopefully we’ll get someone to take a look at it in the next week before we call up a plumber. I’m crossing my fingers it’s an easy fix and we just don’t have the right size wrench to do it ourselves, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
I did a lot of building in Sims 4 and it was very relaxing to let go of my own problems and deal with the ones my sims are experiencing. In the new family I created, one of the sims is really into gardening so I’ve set him up in a huge greenhouse in the backyard. He’s got all of the necessities – a bed, toilet, shower, refrigerator, and a computer desk – but he’s totally surrounded by the garden he’s growing. It’s pretty sweet, actually, and I’m excited to see what he gets up to!
Tomorrow’s supposed to be just as hot as today, if not hotter. I hope I get the chance to chill on the sofa and enjoy the nice weather while I put the finishing touches on my last two assignments of this module!
